Since 1975, Buitengoed de Boomgaard has already been a multifaceted company that changed over the years from fruit farm, campsite, organic Christmas tree nursery to all-round recreation company. Before that, the orchard and its land were owned by the van Zijl family. From generation to generation, the company changed over the years and together with an enthusiastic team we try to be ready every day for the people who want to experience the ultimate outdoor feeling with us. Personal contact, hospitality, atmosphere and experience are central to this.
We want to share our feelings. The feeling of bare feet in the grass, enjoying the smell of blossoms or the scent of a campfire where you can chat for hours with family or friends, enjoying the children (we now have three) who, just like me (Edy) used to, can have endless fun in the outdoors building cabins, go-karting, ditch jumping, catching frogs, tree climbing or building giant bird nests in the newly cut grass. The place in the orchard where our work, has become our life and where no day is the same.

During Ascension weekend, from May 14 to 17, we will be opening an extra pop-up camping field. Our regular camping spots are now fully booked, but there is still room on this spacious field to enjoy a long weekend in the countryside. Each spot has electricity, there is a central water tap, and the sanitary building is within walking distance.
We will soon be welcoming three new safari tents to our country estate. Spacious glamping tents with that little bit of extra comfort, so you can enjoy the outdoors with all the comforts of home. They are larger than our regular tents and are located close to Buitengoed Spelen, ideal for families who like to have everything within easy reach. We look forward to sharing these wonderful new spots with you soon.
