What to do in an emergency?

Are there charging points for electric cars?

Yes, there are several charging points available in the parking area. Please be aware that spots are limited.

Check-in for camping is possible from 2:00 PM, and for our accommodations from 3:00 PM.
Arriving outside reception opening hours? If you let us know in advance, you can arrange a contactless check-in until 8:00 PM.

What are the reception opening hours?

Our reception is open Monday to Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. On Fridays until 7:00 pm and on Sundays from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. For emergencies outside opening hours, please call +31 30 200 8211.

How do I dispose of my waste?

Waste can be separated at the containers near the exit. Paper goes in the paper container, glass in the glass container, plastic (in closed bags) in the plastic container, and residual waste (in closed bags) in the residual waste container. Bulky waste cannot be processed and should be taken home.

Where can I dispose of wastewater?

It is strictly forbidden to dispose of wastewater or chemical toilet waste on the grounds or in ditches. Designated disposal points are available on the estate.

What happens to my mail?

There is a guest mailbox at reception for mail addressed to you.

Where can I report something during my stay?

Yes, there is public transportation in the area. A short distance from the estate, you will find a train station and bus stops, which make it easy to travel to Utrecht and surrounding areas.

Where can I find an AED?

An AED is available at our country estate. It is located at/near the reception desk.

In case of emergency, always call 112 first and follow the instructions of the emergency services. Our staff will of course also assist you immediately.

Do visitors have to pay an entrance fee?

Yes, visitors are very welcome, but just like our other day guests, they pay the regular rate for a day at the Buitengoed. This can easily be arranged online in advance or upon arrival at the reception or entrance cabin.

I have lost something. Where can I find it?

Have you misplaced something? All found items are collected at our reception. Feel free to stop by; we’ll be happy to assist you.

Only noticed after you’ve left? Just send us a message with a clear description of the item, and we’ll gladly check for you and let you know as soon as possible if it has been handed in.

We keep found items for a limited period, so please don’t wait too long to get in touch.

Is there a washing machine or dishwasher at the country estate?

Yes, our sanitary building has a washing machine, dryer, and dishwasher.

The washing machine and dryer operate on a pay-per-use basis, and you pay directly at the machine. You don't need to bring your own detergent, as it is already added.

You can use the dishwasher with a euro coin or a token (available at reception). The program only takes a few minutes.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

For camping pitches, check-in is possible from 2:00 pm during reception opening hours. Check-out is by 12:00 pm. If no new guests arrive, a later departure may be possible in consultation and for a fee. For accommodations, check-in is between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm and check-out by 10:30 am.

Can I receive visitors on the estate?

Yes, visitors are very welcome and should register at reception. A maximum of 10 people (including yourselves) is allowed at the camping pitch.

Can I celebrate a birthday or party?

Celebrations are possible, but we kindly ask you to contact our reception staff in advance to discuss the options. Private parties at the camping pitch are not allowed.

Can I drive my car to my camping pitch?

Our estate is largely car-free. Only during arrival and departure may you drive to your pitch to load or unload. Please drive at walking pace and be extra alert for playing children.

What about noise and quiet hours?

A cozy atmosphere is important to us, and chatting or listening to music is fine. Please always be considerate of other guests. From 11:00 pm onwards, we ask for quiet on the premises. Activities organized by or approved by Buitengoed de Boomgaard may continue until midnight.

Are there events or parties on the estate?

On weekends (except during high season), weddings or special events may take place at a secluded location on the estate and may last until midnight. Some noise disturbance may occur.

Are pets allowed?

Pets are allowed in a few of our accommodations. They are welcome on the grounds and at camping pitches, provided they are always leashed. Pets are not allowed in the play pond. Waste bags are available free of charge at reception. If your visitors bring a pet, responsibility lies with you.

Which groundsheet may I use?

To protect our green oasis, only breathable ground sheets are allowed.

Is the estate suitable for children?

Absolutely! Our estate is a true playground for children. We kindly ask parents to supervise them, especially around animals, playground equipment and sanitary facilities. When the animal meadow is closed, the animals are resting and may not be disturbed. From 9:00 pm onwards, the air trampoline is closed and should be left as soon as it deflates.

What should I know about using the toilets?

Please use toilet paper only. Wet wipes or similar products cause blockages and should be disposed of in the bins provided. Thank you very much!

Are campfires and barbecues allowed?

Yes, both are allowed. Fire bowls with protective plates can be rented from us. Barbecuing is also permitted. Please always ensure safety, preferably with a bucket of water nearby. Ashes and remains should be disposed of in the fireproof container near the waste area. We reserve the right to prohibit open fires if conditions are unsafe.

Who is responsible in case of loss or damage?

Please take good care of your belongings. Unfortunately, we cannot accept liability for loss or damage.

Can I swim in the natural playing pond?

Water quality is regularly monitored. Swimming and playing are at your own risk and there is no supervision.

Where is smoking allowed?

Smoking is only permitted outdoors. Smoking is not allowed in buildings or accommodations. In addition, we kindly ask you not to smoke near the play pond and playground equipment out of consideration for playing children.

Recron terms and conditions apply to tourist and seasonal pitches. These can be found on our website. You are responsible for ensuring that companions, children and visitors also comply.
